My toddler can actually open and close this herself, which was the whole point of getting a junior size. The straps sit comfortably on her shoulders even when she stuffs it with snacks and a water bottle for nursery.

The little animal faces on the front make my daughter actually excited to wear it, which I did not expect. The main compartment is roomy enough for her snack box and a spare set of clothes for nursery days.

My 3-year-old can actually clip the chest strap herself, which makes nursery drop-off way less of a fight. It's the first backpack she's worn that doesn't slide off her shoulders when she runs.
